For families who have selected remote learning, students will continue to learn from the same teacher and in the same homeroom. Students will continue to engage in synchronous instruction led by teachers and asynchronous instruction, including web-based proactive, small group instruction, or independent tasks.
-
For families who have selected hybrid learning, students will continue to learn from the same teacher and in the same homeroom. Students will attend school in-person for two days and learn remotely for three days. Daily class schedules will be forthcoming from grade level teams.
-
On Wednesday, all students will learn remotely, receiving 180 minutes of direct instruction in the morning and then working independently in the afternoon. During independent work time, teachers will not be directly available to support learning. Grade level schedules will be forthcoming from grade level teams.
-
Students participating in hybrid learning will remain in current homerooms, but will be divided into two pods: Pod A (Mon-Tues) and Pod B (Th-Fri). Pod rosters and student pod assignments are provided at the end of the attached reopening plan document.

CPS has not yet reviewed all telework requests, so we cannot yet share which teachers will return in-person and which will be teaching remotely. We expect to share more with families next week.
